Heroics of the Week:
Liam Anthony (North Melbourne)
All injuries make me cringe, but when a player either dislocates a shoulder or a knee, it makes me cringe even more. It happened in Round 6 with Daniel Hannerbery and even though, his injury wasn't serious, Liam Anthony wasn't so lucky. Liam Anthony collided with Travis Cloke in a marking contest in North's big loss to Collingwood and badly injured his shoulder. The injury can force this promising player to miss up to 12 weeks and his presence will be sorely missed, as I rate him highly and he could be the one to replace Brent Harvey in the centre square for North Melbourne in the future years. He has undergone a total reconstruction of the shoulder and will be battling to play again this year. I hate seeing players get this badly hurt and it was a brave marking attempt, when the game was over. He will be a big blow for the Kangaroos, as he has been averaging 23 disposals a game and the Kangaroos will be hoping, he'll be making a speedy recovery.
