Player of the Week:
Phil Davis (Adelaide Crows)
Davis effort last year against the Fremantle Dockers earnt himself a reputation as a hard nut, when he got knocked out by a fair and solid bump from the biggest player in the AFL in Aaron Sandilands. It earnt him the MA Bickley award for 2010 for the Crows.
Despite being dropped for the final 3 games of 2010, his debut season was a solid season. On Saturday night, he was given the dubious job of Lance Franklin. He did an honourable job and proved his courage again, when he got cleaned up by Chance Bateman. He held his own against Buddy Franklin picking up 25 disposals and 8 marks, despite the wayward forward kicking 2.6, Davis should be happy with his efforts and hold his head up high.
The courageous defender could be set for a big 2011 for the Crows. He needs to have a big one, if the Crows are to rise up the ladder, with the departure of Nathan Bock to the new team the Gold Coast Suns.

Watson had a good weekend as well, I reckon if Beams didn't go off injured for the Lions he'd be up there.
